The story is partly inspired by the original text, giving plenty of room for creativity of the writers of Japan, in short, turning the book into a Latin American soap opera. In summary, the cartoon presents the adventures of the young Gascon D'Artagnan, the King Louis XIII of France, to become a musketeer.
